Course Description A-1 *Carry and set up the lines and kite *Determine the wind direction and upwind and downwind (windward, leeward). *Pilot a small kite (inflatable, stunt kite, foil ) on the wind window edge and maintain it close to the ground. *Know how to stop the kite power in case of problem by releasing the bar. Be aware that the kite leash must be worn at all times, before kite launching and until landing.
B-1 *Be aware of the area where the kite can fall down wind to the pilot. *Recover the kite on land. *Position the kite on request from 9 to 3 oclock on the wind window edge. *Launch a kite with an assistant and choose the right angle to the wind. *Pilot the kite in the power area without crashing it. *Twist and untwist the lines while the kite flies. *Recover a kite and secure it on land. *Land a kite with the help of an assistant.
C-1 *Pilot a kite hooked to the harness. *Pilot hooked to the harness with one hand. *Activate the harness release system or quick release located on a leader line.
D-1 *Perform a downwind course by body dragging and using the power of the kite.
E-1 *Relaunch a kite from the water. *Wind the lines in the water and recover the kite. *Perform a self-rescue in deep water. *Launch a kite alone on land. *Identify potential wind obstacles creating lift or down draft and be able to define the wind direction. Understand that practice with onshore wind is dangerous.
With KiteboardingUK one day course you will also get the chance to kiteboard for the first time, Using a directional or twin tip you will take your first water starts and hopefully your first ride. At the end of the course you will be a Kiteboarder level 1
3 all-new sizes replace the 2012 race-winning designs after an extensive R&D process born of our unique CAD-engineered shaping and flow technology.
The more stretched, parallel outlines and wider piercing nose supply extra lift, a faster bow action to climb chop and whitewater and a steadier paddling platform. Achieving added stability on a narrower profile allows a fast, rounder, more efficient bottom shape enhancing the longer waterline and continuous, clean-water release rocker. Above deck a rigid spine disperses wash and speeds-up nose recovery in swell and the stabilising square tail and flat stance area promises youll only ever need to concentrate on cadence and reeling-in your rivals. All models come with ONE fins super-light US Box 9.75 RaceAce fin.
KEY FEATURES: - Stretched outline with wider nose and square tail to maximise waterline - CAD-analysed smooth tail, nose and continuous curve rocker for clean release paddle motion - Deck spine for quick nose release and water dispersion - Flat deck in stance section - Fin box forward for lightning fast kick turns
Lead the pack on any of 3 fresh new stretched outline shapes born of our biggest-ever CAD-formed commitment to victory. Designed specifically for elite level racing the 140 × 25 / 140 × 27.5 and 140 × 30 models are the ultimate in cutting-edge race technology.
Now with maximised waterline length, a wider nose blends into a parallel mid-section and narrower tail for drag-free release. Smooth nose and tail curves merge into a continuous rocker line for efficient gliding motion. Your paddling position remains secure with a low centre of gravity thanks to a flat, stance section on-deck ideal for high performance racers in any conditions. All models come with ONE fins super-light US Box 9.75 RaceAce fin.
KEY FEATURES: - Stretched outline with wider nose and narrower tail to maximise waterline - CAD-analysed smooth tail, nose and continuous curve rocker for clean release paddle motion - Deck spine for quick nose release and water dispersion - Low centre of gravity from flat deck in stance section - Domed nose and pierced bow for quick wash dispersion and fast recovery
»The 14 Fanatic Falcon is my favourite board to compete on. The stability of the board allows me to feel comfortable and concentrate on paddling fast. Stability is one of the most important things to consider in a race board. You are not very fast if you are in the water! The Fanatic Falcon helps me feel stable and fast!«
