This is a great kite knife made from yellow toughened plastic it has a single internal blade. And comes with a carry case with a loop hole for connecting to harnesses or belt straps. Comes in black or the prefered yellow.

Course Description A-1 *Carry and set up the lines and kite *Determine the wind direction and upwind and downwind (windward, leeward). *Pilot a small kite (inflatable, stunt kite, foil ) on the wind window edge and maintain it close to the ground. *Know how to stop the kite power in case of problem by releasing the bar. Be aware that the kite leash must be worn at all times, before kite launching and until landing.
B-1 *Be aware of the area where the kite can fall down wind to the pilot. *Recover the kite on land. *Position the kite on request from 9 to 3 oclock on the wind window edge. *Launch a kite with an assistant and choose the right angle to the wind. *Pilot the kite in the power area without crashing it. *Twist and untwist the lines while the kite flies. *Recover a kite and secure it on land. *Land a kite with the help of an assistant.
C-1 *Pilot a kite hooked to the harness. *Pilot hooked to the harness with one hand. *Activate the harness release system or quick release located on a leader line.
D-1 *Perform a downwind course by body dragging and using the power of the kite.
E-1 *Relaunch a kite from the water. *Wind the lines in the water and recover the kite. *Perform a self-rescue in deep water. *Launch a kite alone on land. *Identify potential wind obstacles creating lift or down draft and be able to define the wind direction. Understand that practice with onshore wind is dangerous.
With KiteboardingUK one day course you will also get the chance to kiteboard for the first time, Using a directional or twin tip you will take your first water starts and hopefully your first ride. At the end of the course you will be a Kiteboarder level 1
This 6th Generation Jekyll is without question the fastest and most performance oriented kite Gaastra has ever built. We improved the steering by using a straight tip shape and thicker diameter of the LE in the tip area. It turns super fast and flies through the window all the way to the extreme edge giving it insane upwind abilities. The extremely light bar pressure gives an effortless feedback to the rider. It has a very efficient de-power that gets rid of 85% of the power when sheeted out while keeping the steering characteristics alive. Even when depowered, the Jekyll still obeys your commands. The huge sweet spot gives this kite the widest wind range in our line up. The Jekyll is a dedicated 4 Line SLE kite, but comes with the option to use a 5th line. The 5 strut skeleton in fully segmented in construction, making the kite super rigid even in toughest conditions.
STEERING FEEDBACK: ultra direct and fast BAR PRESSURE: extreme light TURNING STYLE: turns rapidly around the inner tip
What is Technically changed to JEKYLL5 and why?
straight tips for more direct steering behavior.
more area in tips achieves better steering.
increased diameter of tip LE improves axial angular impulse for more rigid feeling on bar all new Bridles and Steering line settings to achieve the best aerodynamics in every situation
new LE attachment point in stronger but lighter construction kevlar reinforcements at LE for highest abuse resistance new and more boxy tip shape for better steering at depowered conditions new TWIN SEAM technology by stitching the LE. increases the LE strength by 25%. new HPX Dacron: super light, but extreme durable and strong. makes the LE by 25% stronger (exclusive by Gaastra) new LTE Canopy: 30% more tearproof, due to double ripstop and special coating process refined TE shape and tension. we tension the TE on a shorter distance (5% of responding cord) and balanced the scallop between the inner struts to keep it silent with less drag segmented struts for a more accurate profile adjustment which results in a cleaner sail close to the LE area
